The Australian Artisan Baking Cup was conceptualized with the express aim
to:

To promote and celebrate the art of Australian
Artisan Baking through a professional and competitive forum for trade
Bakers and Pastry cooks between 20 to 55 years of age.

To elevate the stature and status of professional
trade Bakers and Pastry cooks throughout Australia and to profile
artisan baking skills in Artisan Bread, Viennoiserie / Sweet Yeast
goods, Healthy Nutritional Bread / Cold Sandwich and Artistic Bread
Centerpiece to an international standard.

To strive to create a platform for communication,
education and learning amongst Home Bakers, Alchemists, Bakers and
Pastry cooks, emerging and established Artisan Bakers, the broader
community and allied traders within Australian and the International
Baking community.

To be the national selection process for Australian
artisan bakers and pastry cooks to compete against the rest of the world
in the SIGEP Bread Cup and other Internationally renowned Baking
exhibitions such as "La Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie" Bakery World
Cup situated in France.

To be a world class event and evolve to reflect the
professional baking progress, emerging international trends in artisan
baking and promote advancements in the artisan baking world for future
generations of Australian Bakers and Pastry cooks.
